Rules and sources
- Etsy accepts at most 13 tags per listing, and each tag can be at most 20 characters (knowledge base: Etsy Open API v3, update listing).
- Duplicates are checked ignoring upper/lower case and spaces at the start and end. In the copied list each duplicate appears once.
Frequently asked
Are my tags written to Etsy?
No. The tool only counts and copies; it doesn’t connect to Etsy. The Filizly app doesn’t write tags either: it writes only titles and descriptions to Etsy.
Do spaces count as characters?
Yes; spaces inside a tag count, spaces at the start and end don’t.
Which tags should I use?
